Subcontractor Requirements

All subcontractors must meet the following requirements:

 

Entity & Licensing

• Business entity registered with the State of Maryland
• Valid construction license or specialty trade license
• A valid MHIC license if you want to work on occupied, residential property

Insurance

Each subcontractor or vendor supplying labor as a part of their contract is required to comply with the following minimum insurance coverages, all on an “occurrence” basis, without deductibles, with admitted carriers acceptable to NCC with minimum A.M. Best ratings of at least A-VII, and licensed to do business where the work is located.

 

• General Liability:
• Each Occurrence $1,000,000
• Personal & Advertising Injury $1,000,000
• General Aggregate $2,000,000
• Completed Operations Aggregate $2,000,000
• Per Project/Per Location Aggregate Endorsement Included

 

• Auto Liability:
• Minimum state requirement or $100,000, whichever is greater

 

• Workers Compensation:
• At least the minimum state requirments

Each of our subcontractors and their employees represent New City in our customers' eyes. Therefore, all conduct and client interactions are governed by the New City Code of Conduct. We maintain standards with respect to professionalism, work quality, appearance, safety, substance abuse, coordination and clean-up.
